Writing From Life Workshop for People of Colour and Aboriginal People

Dianah Smith will be facilitating a workshop at the Written in Colour Symposium for Emerging Writers/Storytellers of Colour and Indigenous Writers/Storytellers. This workshop is geared towards beginning and emerging writers who want to write stories about their lives but worry that their writing might be too personal, not legitimate or won't be of interest to anyone but themselves. Through individual writing exercises, group activities and discussions we will begin to learn how to write about our lives without feeling overexposed, feel more confident about personal/autobiographical writing and find out about places to share/publish our work.
